Design of New Resonant Haloscopes in the Search for the Dark Matter Axion: A Review of the First Steps in the RADES Collaboration

Within the increasing interest in dark matter axion detection through haloscopes, which different international groups are currently involved, RADES group was established 2016 with goal of developing very sensitive systems to be operated dipole magnets. This review deals work developed by this collaboration during its first five years, from designs, based on multi-cavity concept, aiming increase haloscope volume and, so, improve sensitivity, their evolution, data acquisition design, finally, experimental run. Moreover, envisaged within RADES, for both and solenoid magnets, short medium term is also presented.
